A new marketing campaign could be in the works to promote growth in Chilton County.

Commissioners plan to hold a work session April 16 at 5 p.m. with the Chilton County Chamber of Commerce to discuss ways to implement the campaign.

Commissioner Shannon Welch brought up the topic for discussion during Monday’s meeting, explaining to commissioners the campaign would be designed to coincide with the economic development meetings the commission has been hosting the last several months.

“I think it would be good for us to meet and go over some of the ideas,” Welch said. “It would be designed to promote a change of pace within the county.”

Commissioner Joseph Parnell echoed Welch’s statements about the campaign and described it as a way to highlight and accentuate the positive things going on in the county.
