Football alumni return to gridiron glory

The Orange would score once more on a Short pass to Donald Perry for a 15-yard touchdown that brought the score to its final: White 26, Orange 24.

Tyron Morris led the White offense with 13 carries and 152 yards, while Parker Hughes had 11 carries and 86 yards.

Hughes led the White defense with six tackles. Clint Foshee and Henley Hughes each had five tackles.

Rick Short led the Orange offense with 10 carries and 101 yards, while Ty Jackson led the defense with six tackles. Sedrick Williams, Darian Mormon and Carl Hudson had four tackles each.

The alumni game is held twice a year during the spring and fall with all proceeds going to the Chilton County High School Athletic Association. Anyone interested in playing in next spring’s game should contact Russ Davis ( or Matt Krallman (
