Jemison’s girls tennis team will compete in the Class 4A Section 2 tournament today at the O’Connor Tennis Center in Montgomery.

The Panthers (8-4) finished third in the section in the regular season, behind St. James and Catholic-Montgomery, but will have to finish in the top two of the sectional tournament to qualify for the state tournament on April 27-28 at Montgomery’s Lagoon Park.

Jemison’s lineup will be Ashley Gothard, Ashley Garrett, Christie Hoffmeyer, Alyssa Childress, Tara Foster and Kari Hollingsworth in singles play and Gothard/Garrett, Hoffmeyer/Childress, and Jessica Swindle/Jonica Hicks in doubles play.
