SunSouth in Clanton always has the equipment hunters need for food plots. Saturday, the store will have the information hunters need, as well.

SunSouth will host a Wildlife Management Seminar from 10 a.m. to noon.

“A lot of our customers are hunters and set up food plots,” said Yvonne Cleckler, parts manager at SunSouth. “We host the seminar just as a way to help them.”

The seminar will feature Coosa County extension coordinator Roger Vines talking about food plot management and game warden Shannon Calfee talking about hunting rules and regulations.

Garrison Farm and Home Center will set up a booth at the seminar, hot dogs and drinks will be provided, and door prizes, including a John Deere chain saw, will be given away, Cleckler said.

SunSouth didn’t host such a seminar last year but has for many years in the past, Cleckler said. The events have usually enjoyed turnouts of 30-40 people.
