The Clanton Lions Club furthered its reach in the community by inducting three new members Friday at a business lunch meeting at Clara’s Country Café.

Club President Hollis Jackson presented Josh Inman, Jason Griffin and Ron Jones for membership in the 30-plus member civic club.

Inman is a juvenile probation officer with the Chilton County District Court, Griffin is the transportation supervisor for the Chilton County School System and Jones is the executive director of Clanton Housing Authority.

“They all have jobs in the community that benefit people in the community, and I think they will make great members,” Jackson said.

Each member received a pin and a membership information packet.

In other club business Friday, Jackson displayed the plaque the group received for its annual United Way donation, and treasurer Britt Culpepper presented the financial report for February.
