The 76th annual Peach Festival in Chilton County would not be complete without arguably its most anticipated event of the week, the Peach Jam Jubilee. This year’s Peach Jam Jubilee on June 24 from 11 a.m.-10 p.m. in Clanton City Park is preparing to bring shopping, food, games and fun to everyone who comes out in its biggest event yet.

“We are super excited and we are looking forward to this being one of the biggest Peach Jam’s we have ever had,” Rachel Martin, executive director of the Chilton County Chamber of Commerce, said. “We could have never done it without the support from the community and our great sponsors. All of our sponsors and the community come together to make this event successful every year.”

Over 250 vendors have already signed up with a wide variety of items such as clothes, homemade items, jewelry and more that will flood the park. Over 40 different food trucks will be available and serving up hot food and cold drinks throughout the day to patrons.

While the peach auction with the newly crowned Peach Queens and the Peach Parade are huge attractions on that day, the Peach Jam Jubilee will have something for everyone’s interests. The Chilton County Cruisers are sponsoring the Peach Car Show that will have hot rods on display throughout the entire day. A kid’s zone with inflatables and games to keep the young peach lovers entertained will be available. A hot air balloon, arts and crafts station and horseback riding will also be in the park. There will also be a sensory area to make sure all guests’ families are accommodated.

“People just hear about how big and fun it is, and they tell somebody who tells somebody,” Martin said. “We had a bigger social media presence this year … It is word of mouth, and when people come here they feel welcomed and they feel at home, and they want to come back each year. With it being free too, everyone is looking to do something with their family during the summer that does not cost a lot. That always helps too, and that goes back to the support we receive from our sponsors and the community to make that happen.”

The talent takes the Peach Jam Jubilee stage at 3 p.m. on June 24 as the finalists in the Chilton County’s Got Talent competition will battle it out to see who is crowned the champion by the judges on hand.

Shortly after at 5 p.m., the musical acts will take center stage including singer and songwriter Niko Moon, Callista Clark, Michael Warren and The Woods.

Peach Jam Jubilee is currently looking for volunteers and anyone interested can contact the Chilton County Chamber of Commerce at 205-755-2400 for more details about opportunities.
