Editor’s note: Below is a compilation of the statistics and achievements for graduates of Chilton County area schools who now compete at the college level.

Women’s cross country

Sarah Graham (Isabella 2015) is a freshman for the University of West Alabama, which will resume competition at the Watson Ford Invitatational on Oct. 9 in Clinton, Miss.

In her most recent effort, she captured the No. 8 performance for the Tigers at the Mountain Dew Invitational, hosted by the University of Florida on Sept. 19 in Gainesville, Fla.

In the competition, she completed the 5,000-meter course with a season-best time of 20 minutes, 40.16 seconds to finish 60th overall and guide UWA to clinch fourth among the field of 21 teams.

Football

Keandre Binion (Chilton County 2015) has provided eight yards from one rushing attempt for the season as a running back for Culver-Stockton College, which fell to 0-6 overall after sustaining a 61-22 loss at Missouri Valley College (3-3) on Oct. 3 in Canton, Mo.

Delondre DeJarnett (Chilton County 2014) is a 6-foot-2, 290-pound defensive lineman for the University of West Alabama.

Anthony Johnson (Maplesville 2013) collected an appearance as a wide receiver for Jacksonville State University (4-1) in a 49-7 victory at home against Mississippi Valley State University (0-5) on Oct. 3 in Jacksonville.

For the season, the junior’s tallied 16 yards from two receptions.

Damian Mitchell (Maplesville 2014) hauled in 23 yards from three receptions as a wide receiver for Birmingham-Southern College (3-2) in a 28-14 loss at home to the University of Chicago (4-0) on Oct. 3 in Birmingham.

For the season, the sophomore’s tallied 158 yards from seven kick returns and 101 yards from nine catches.

David Neece (Chilton County 2013) is a 6-foot-3, 300-pound offensive lineman for Jacksonville State University.

Mitchell Parker (Chilton County 2014) is a redshirt freshman wide receiver for Miles College, which fell to 1-4 overall after sustaining a 29-16 loss at home to Albany State University (2-3) on Oct. 3 in Fairfield.

Randy Satterfield (Jemison 2014) has produced 160 yards and four TDs from 10 receptions as a starting wide receiver for the University of West Alabama.

Jaytarius Steele (Billingsley 2015) hauled in a 31-yard touchdown from Luke Bailey as a wide receiver for the Huntingdon College football team (3-1) in a 45-40 victory at home against North Carolina Wesleyan College (0-4) on Oct. 3 in Montgomery.

In the competition, the freshman provided 70 yards from six receptions.

Overall, he has been a consistent contributor for the Hawks since Week 1, achieving a catch in every contest.

On Sept. 5, he hauled in a 35-yard touchdown from Bailey and ended with 42 yards from two receptions in a 56-35 season-opening victory at home against Louisiana College (1-3).

On Sept. 12, he followed by delivering a season-high 84 yards from five catches in a 35-34 loss at Birmingham-Southern College (3-2) in Birmingham.

On Sept. 19, he provided 33 yards from two receptions in a 35-21 triumph at Belhaven University (0-5) in Jackson, Mississippi.

For the season, he’s totaled 229 yards and two TDs from 15 catches.

Javae Swindle (Jemison 2012) produced a season-high 29 yards from six rushing attempts as a running back for the University of West Alabama (4-1) in a 32-14 loss at home to the University of West Georgia (5-0) on Oct. 3 in Livingston.

For the season, the 5-foot-4, 162-pound senior’s compiled 59 yards from 14 carries and continues to inch closer to 2,000 rushing yards for his career.

For his career, he’s totaled 1,866 rushing yards complemented with 14 touchdowns.

As a sophomore in 2013, he was selected to the NCAA Division II All-American second team by Beyond Sports Network after delivering 1,296 yards and 12 TDs from 145 rushing attempts.

As a junior, he followed by providing 521 yards and two TDs from 78 carries.

Riley Tindol (Billingsley 2014) is a 6-foot-5, 262-pound defensive end for Vanderbilt University, which improved to 2-3 overall after capturing a 17-13 victory at Middle Tennessee State University (2-3) on Oct. 3 in Murfreesboro, Tenn.

Spencer Watley (Chilton County 2013) clinched an appearance as a 5-foot-10, 260-pound offensive lineman for Jacksonville State University.

Kortlin Zeigler (Jemison 2014) collected an appearance as a tight end for the University of West Alabama against the University of West Georgia.

Men’s golf

Forrest Knight (Chilton County 2013) continues to be a consistent scorer for the University of North Alabama, which will resume competition at the Guy Harvey Invitational from Oct. 12-13 in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

In the junior’s most recent effort, he captured the No. 2 performance for the Lions at the Saint Leo Men’s Invitational by placing eighth overall with a three-round score of 207 (71-67-69) from Sept. 28-29 in Dade City, Fla.

Among the field of 16 teams, UNA secured runner-up.

Men’s rodeo

Zachary Wilson (Chilton County 2012) will resume competition at home in the University of West Alabama Rodeo Showdown for the Tigers from Oct. 8-10 in Livingston.

In UWA’s most recent effort, the program opened the season by securing a seventh-place finish at the Missouri Valley Rodeo on Sept. 28 in Marshall, Mo.

Wilson is one of the biggest names on the roster for the Tigers, having clinched a berth to the National Finals Rodeo in 2013 and 2014, as well as claiming a national title in calf roping in 2013.

Volleyball

Alandra Griffith (Isabella 2014) collected her second double-digit effort of the season in kills as an outside hitter for the Wallace Community College – Selma volleyball team (1-15) in a 3-0 loss at home to Gadsden State Community College (11-10) on Sept. 30 in Selma.

In the competition, the sophomore posted a game-high 12 kills complemented with five blocks.

On Sept. 29, she recorded a season-high nine blocks and eight kills in a 3-1 loss at Concordia College in Selma.

In her other double-digit effort in kills of the year, she contributed a season-high 14 in a 3-2 loss at home to Southern Union State Community College (7-14) on Sept. 14.

For the season, she’s compiled a team-high 32 blocks complemented with 63 kills, five digs, four assists and two aces.
