Editor’s note: Below is a compilation of the statistics and achievements compiled by graduates of Chilton County area schools who now compete at the college level.

Baseball

Chance Calloway (Chilton County 2012) collected his second complete-game pitching effort and improved his record to 3-2 after leading Lurleen B. Wallace (18-6, 8-10 Alabama Community College Conference) to a 3-1 triumph at Wallace Community College Dothan (19-15, 12-6 Alabama Community College Conference) on April 5 in Dothan.

In the competition, the sophomore hurled four strikeouts and allowed nine hits and one earned run.

For the season, he totals 10 appearances and seven starts to provide 44.2 innings pitched, 28 strikeouts and a 2.22 ERA.

Alex Campbell (Jemison 2013) captured his first win of the season by closing the final 1 1/3 innings as a relief pitcher for Wallace Community College Selma (13-23, 3-10 Alabama Community College Conference) in a 10-9 triumph at Central Alabama Community College (18-6, 11-5 Alabama Community College Conference) on April 1 in Alexander City.

For the season, the freshman compiles 11 appearances and six starts as a pitcher to contribute a 1-2 record, two complete games, 52 2/3 innings pitched, 21 strikeouts and a 3.76 ERA.

He adds versatility, posting 25 appearances at various positions to provide seven RBI, two walks, one double and a .205 batting average.

Cameron Cummings (Chilton County 2013) batted 1-for-5 with one RBI for the University of South Alabama (15-16, 5-6 Sun Belt Conference) in a 7-2 victory at Texas State University (18-13, 7-5 Sun Belt Conference) on April 6 in San Marcos, Texas.

For the season, the infielder tallies 23 appearances and 16 starts to compile seven runs scored, five RBI, one double and one stolen base.

Craig Headley (Chilton County 2013) batted 3-for-5 with five RBI and one run scored for Jefferson Davis Community College (16-16, 12-9 Alabama Community College Conference) in a 15-3 victory at home against Enterprise State Community College (15-8, 7-14 Alabama Community College Conference) on April 3 in Brewton.

For the season, the catcher totals 27 appearances to contribute 19 RBI, 14 runs scored, 14 walks, four doubles, one stolen base and a .329 batting average.

Bo Hoffman (Thorsby 2013) compiles five appearances and two starts as a pitcher for Marion Military Institute (7-25, 1-12 Alabama Community College Conference) to contribute a 1-1 record, 8 1/3 innings pitched, four strikeouts and an 11.88 ERA.

Stephen Mims (Maplesville 2013) totals three appearances and one start as a pitcher for Wallace Community College Selma (13-23, 3-10 Alabama Community College Conference) to tally a 0-1 record, 7 1/3 innings pitched, three strikeouts and a 1.23 ERA.

Golf

Forrest Knight (Chilton County 2013) captured a tie for 14th at the Jim Bishop Toyota Classic with a three-round score of 228 (74-76-78) for the University of North Alabama from March 24-25 in Muscle Shoals.

In the team standings, the Lions swept the field of 12 teams to collect their first tournament championship of the season.

From March 31-April 1, UNA continued its momentum by placing runner-up to the University of West Florida among the field of 10 teams.

In the competition, Knight bested his total from the previous week by posting a score of 224 (72-77-75) to capture a tie for 34th.

Softball

Brianna Cleckler (Chilton County 2013) hurled two strikeouts, allowed three hits and did not allow an earned run in her 13th complete-game pitching effort of the season to improve her record to 15-3 for Southern Union State Community College (36-8) in an 11-0 sweep of Wallace Community College Dothan (17-15) on April 1 in Dothan.

For the season, the freshman totals 23 appearances and 20 starts to compile 111 innings pitched, 75 strikeouts and a 2.14 ERA.

Tiffany Guin (Jemison 2012) clinched her sixth complete-game pitching effort of the season and improved her record to 13-6 after leading Central Alabama Community College (27-14) to a 17-5 triumph at Georgia Highlands College (17-24) on April 1 in Cartersville, Ga.

In the competition, the sophomore delivered four strikeouts and allowed four hits and two earned runs.

For the season, she tallies 23 appearances and 14 starts to provide two saves, 83 2/3 innings pitched, 48 strikeouts and a 4.35 ERA.

Shelby Lopez (Jemison 2012) batted 1-for-5 for Central Alabama Community College (27-14) in an 8-7 loss at Southern Union State Community College (36-8) on April 5 in Wadley.

For the season, the infielder compiles 41 appearances to contribute 25 runs scored, 18 RBI, eight doubles, eight stolen bases, one triple, one home run and a .268 batting average.

Lauren Stewart (Chilton County 2012) finished 2-for-2 with two runs scored, two RBI and two walks for Southern Union State Community College (36-8, 4-0 Alabama Community College Conference ) in an 11-0 sweep of Wallace Community College Dothan (17-5, 1-3 Alabama Community College Conference) on April 1 in Dothan.

For the season, the catcher tallies 26 appearances to compile 10 runs scored, 10 RBI and a .367 batting average.

Women’s outdoor track and field

Lori Davis (Billingsley 2012) finished 11th in the javelin at the Tiger Classic with a mark of 116 feet, 4.75 inches for Alabama State University on April 4 in Auburn.

For the season, the sophomore tallies a season-best effort in the event of 116-4.75.
