Jackson Chapel Church

Bro. Horace Wyatt got the morning service started off with “He Set Me Free” and “Keep On The Firing Line.” Bro. Dennis Smith and Glen Riley blessed us with “Life’s Railway to Heaven” and “I Saw The Light.”

Bro. Dennis’ text came from Romans 13:11-14: We have to realize that we are living in the last days, and we need to live like our time here on earth is up, because we don’t know when it will be our last. It is time that we, as Christians, need to get off our seat of “do nothing” and be about our Heavenly Father’s business. We need to serve Jesus Christ because time is running out for us to win our lost loved ones over to him. We need to get rid of the mentality that Jesus Christ is not really that important. We should realize that Jesus Christ is the reason we are still alive today, getting to enjoy what God has blessed us with. We need to make up our minds that we’re going to serve Jesus Christ no matter what it takes.

The service ended with people coming to pray.

Wanda Chadwick got the evening service started off with “Jesus Hold My Hand,” “There’s Power in the Blood” and “I Feel Like Traveling On.” Luke Wilson blessed us with “Jesus Loves Me;” Bro. Horace Wyatt blessed us with “The Unseen Hand” and “Sheltered in the Arms of God;” Bro. Dennis blessed us with “I’ll Be Alright As Soon As I Touch Calvary;” Glen Riley blessed us with “How Great Thou Art” and Bro. Dennis Smith and Wanda Chadwick blessed us with “I Hold a Clear Title,” “Where the Soul Never Dies,” “The Old Country Church,” “They’re Holding the Ladder,” “House of Gold” and “Right On Time.”

Please remember these as you pray this week: Gail Fant, the Reverend Pate Hughins, the Johnnie Cox family, Alton Cole, Juanita Wilkins, the Reverend Teddy Chadwick, Amy Solis’ dad and brother, the Reverend George Williams, Ricky Easterling, Stacy Mitchell, our lost loved ones, our upcoming graduates and our service men and women.

Shiloh Baptist Church

On April 21, Bro. Ernest brought the message from Exodus 20:1-17: God warns his people not to have idols. Do not put anything between you and God. If there is anything or anyone keeping from your relationship with God, you need to get rid of it. It has to be your choice. You have to put God first. Television, cell phones and social media can play a good roll in your Christian life if it is used to spread God’s word and glorify him, but it is also another way Satan has of trying to get between us and God. God should always be first in our lives.

We will hold our 182nd Homecoming celebration on May 19. We would like to invite everyone to join us for worship, music and fellowship.
