A Clanton man was killed Wednesday when a log truck he was driving left the roadway, according to Alabama State Troopers.

Michael Haynes, 41, was driving a 2000 Freightliner CL120 loaded with logs south on Coosa County Road 55 about five miles from the Chilton County line about 1:30 p.m., according to a release.

He died at the scene.

No other vehicles were involved in the wreck.

Troopers are investigating, and no further information was immediately released.
