Violet Porter Bridges and Morris Price lay a wreath in front of the Veterans Monument outside the Chilton County Courthouse to conclude Monday’s Memorial Day program.

The 25th annual Chilton County Veterans Memorial Day program was held Monday in front of the county courthouse.

Maplesville Police Chief Todd Ingram was the program’s speaker. Ingram is a Purple Heart recipient and veteran of the Gulf War and Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Earl Caton read the names of World War I veterans; Rex Ray read the names of World War II veterans; Lally Bates read the names of Korean War veterans; and Robert Hayes read the names of Vietnam, Lebanon and Iraq veterans.

Celebrating its silver anniversary this year, the program is organized by the Chilton County Veterans Memorial Committee.
