Dear Editor,

I want to thank Mr. Joe Mims and members of the Chilton County Board of Education for your support of Maplesville High School and its teachers and community in regard to allowing them the signage “In God We Trust.”

I am proud that I have a Maplesville second grader and a seventh grader that attend Maplesville High School. I believe there is a very finite maybe only one or two people in this community that have caused such an issue.

Too many times we as a majority have sat aside and allowed this small minority to dictate. I pray that you will stand steadfast and hear the majority and continue to allow the signage to be displayed.

This is so much more than just a simple sign. It is a principle in more than one way.
