Dear Editor,

On behalf of our recently departed father/brother, Ellis E. McDaniel, we would like to thank you for being supportive of us during this most difficult time.

Your phone calls, visits, flowers, cards, food, love, and other expressions of kindness were greatly appreciated. We will forever be grateful. To those of you who traveled from afar, it is our prayer that you had a safe return home.

A special thank you goes out to doctors Christopher Old, Christopher Woods, Rodolfo Vargas, Keith Funderburke, Haritha Ramasastry, Susan Ferguson and Dale Elliott; the staff of Fresenius Dialysis Center (Clanton), Alacare, and all other healthcare providers for their excellent care compassion shown to our loved one. To the staff of Agee Brothers Funeral Home, thank you for rendering your professional services.

Also, your contributions to the American Diabetes Association: Ellis E. McDaniel Memorial Fund, his requested charity, would have made him proud. It is our prayer, as was his, that one day a cure for this disease will be found.

Above all, we thank God for sharing such a humble, wise, and wonderful man with us for seventy-nine years.
