I would like to thank the Clanton Police Department and the Chilton County Sheriff’s Department for outstanding service on Oct. 19.

A funeral home out of Birmingham came to our church to direct a funeral, and they had failed to call ahead for a police escort from the church to the cemetery. By the time, the funeral procession had gotten on Highway 31, our pastor called for help, and in a matter of minutes they had cars there and everything went smoothly.

We are proud of our police department and our sheriff’s department for such a quick response. Again, we thank you very much.
