At least two Chilton County communities, plus homeowners along Lay Mitchell, have planned fireworks shows for the Fourth of July.

Clanton’s annual fireworks show will be Sunday, July 4 at 9 p.m. from City Park. Monday, July 5 will serve as a makeup day in case of rain.

Thorsby’s Fourth of July program will begin Saturday, July 3 at 7 p.m. at Richard Wood Park.

Lake Mitchell HOBO will have the Cargile Creek Fourth of July fireworks at 9 p.m. on Saturday, July 3. Accompanying music will be played on 96.9 FM radio.

Also, the Lake Mitchell Pontoon Parade will begin at 10 a.m. Sunday, July 4. The parade will begin at Higgins Ferry and proceed south. The speedboat parade will begin at 2 p.m. on Sunday, July 4 and continue north.
