Twenty-one years ago, Chilton County senior Greg DeJarnett signed a scholarship to play basketball at the University of Montevallo after a high school career that included him scoring 1,032 points, averaging eight rebounds per game, being named the Class 5A state tournament team and being named the Most Valuable Player in the Tigers’ area tournament.
