If there is one cause that brings Chilton County together, it’s Relay for Life. Between now and the Relay event on April 30, all kinds of fundraisers will be held in support of the American Cancer Society.

“I hope people will pay close attention to the events going on and that people in the community will support each other,” Relay chairperson Ann Glasscock said. “Although we are on different teams, we’re all on one big team together.”

There are 57 Relay for Life teams across Chilton County this year, surpassing the goal of 55 teams.

“I think our teams are doing more unusual fundraisers. It’s giving everybody an opportunity to participate somehow,” she said.
