Last chance to buy Habitat hams and turkeys

Thursday is the final day to purchase hams and turkeys through the annual Habitat for Humanity Ham and Turkey Sale.

Smoked turkeys are $25 apiece, and honey-baked, spiral-cut hams are $30 each. Each may be picked up Tuesday, Nov. 24 at Peach Park between 3 and 6 p.m. Ticket stubs should be taken on pickup day.

“I know we’ve missed calling on some people who normally like to buy a ham or turkey from us,” said Habitat volunteer Jane Conradi. “We just want to make sure everyone has an opportunity to do so.”

All proceeds go to help local families in need of stable housing. The local Habitat for Humanity affiliate, which recently joined in partnership with the Autauga County affiliate, held a dedication ceremony just this week for its most recent Habitat family.

Tickets are available from any Habitat board member or from Heaton Pecan Farm in Clanton. Call Sue Holbrook at Heaton at 755-8654 for information.
