Giving back to the community always makes you feel good. Now, it also tastes good.

Alabama Power employees and retirees are sponsoring a pecan pie fundraiser.

The Alabama Power Service Organization (APSO) members and the Energizer’s group are selling Priester’s 9-inch pecan pies for $10.

The pies will be available for pick up between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 20 at the Alabama Power Company in Clanton.

All profits will benefit APSO community projects.

In recent years, the organization has given supplies to schools and supported Habitat for Humanity, according to Mitchell Dam Superintendent Roger Yeargan.

The amount above the Pie’s actual cost is tax deductible, Yeargan said.
