With September comes two significant events — the arrival of fall, and the arrival of the Chilton County Fair.
The fair begins Monday, Sept. 28 and lasts through Saturday, Oct. 3 at the Chilton County Fairgrounds on Airport Road. Gates will open at 6 each night except Saturday, gates will open at 5 p.m.
Admission is $3 per person and free for children 3 and under.
“The Clanton Kiwanis Club encourages everyone to attend the fair,” said Kiwanis president Maurice Lyn. “The community support will enable the club to donate thousands of dollars back to children’s charities in the community. We greatly appreciate the community’s support in the past.”
Lyn added that proceeds from the fair have contributed more than $100,000 to children within Chilton County over the past five years.
