Two minors were injured in a one-vehicle collision Wednesday near the intersection of Old Samaria Road and Kincheon Road.

About 1:45 p.m., emergency officials responded to the incident in which a newer model silver Dodge Neon left the road and struck a tree.

The two victims, reportedly both teenage males, were transported by Lifesaver helicopter to the University of Alabama at Birmingham Hospital.

While the names of the victims have not been released, officials indicated at least one may have sustained lasting injuries.

“I would say at the time of the wreck both of them were critical,” Clanton Assistant Fire Chief Chris Baker said.

Clanton Fire and Rescue, Clanton Police, Angel Ambulance and Regional Paramedic Services all responded to the crash scene.
