It’s time to sharpen your pencils and hit the books.

The summer Alabama High School Graduation Exam will be administered Monday through Friday, July 20-24.

Students eligible to take the exam should report to the Chilton County High School lunchroom between 7:45 a.m. and 8:10 a.m. each day of testing.

Students should enter the school by the door located on the front of the building to the right of the auditorium doors.

“Once the sign has been posted and the doors to the lunchroom have been closed, no other students will be allowed to enter the testing room,” said Pam Harris, testing coordinator for Chilton County Schools. “Therefore, it is imperative that all persons eligible to take the exam arrive on time with a photo ID.”

The specific days for each subtests area of the AHSGE are listed as follows:

Monday, July 20: social studies

Tuesday, July 21: science and biology

Wednesday, July 22: mathematics

Thursday, July 23: reading

Friday, July 24: language

Harris advises all eligible students to get plenty of rest before each testing day. Students should also eat a good breakfast each morning before going to the school.
