For those who are divorced, it can be difficult to find support and understanding from other people.
A class at Clanton First United Methodist Church offers information for anyone who is contemplating divorce, going through a divorce, or still suffering from the pain of divorce.
Divorce Care is a 13-week course that deals with many issues divorced people encounter, including such topics as anger, depression, loneliness, new relationships, finances and children. Participants will watch videos that cover each of these topics.
The first meeting is March 10, and the meetings will continue Tuesday evenings from 6:30 to 8 in the worship center of the Helen Parrish Activity Center.
“If anyone is interested in joining us, they may attend the first session to find out more about it,” said Brenda Godbold, facilitator of the Divorce Care class along with Freddie Nichols.
The church has hosted several sessions in the past that have reportedly been well attended.
Childcare will be available if requested. Those who wish to speak with someone for more details may contact the church office at 755-0490.
