“Gilligan’s Island” will be the theme of this year’s Chilton County Chamber of Commerce awards banquet.
The banquet will be held Jan. 15 at the Alabama Power Conference Center beginning at 6:30 p.m.
“Everyone can come dressed as their favorite character from ‘Gilligan’s Island,’” Chamber Executive Director Pennie Broussard said. “Or, they can dress casual.”
All are invited to join in recognizing outgoing chamber directors, new directors, the Business of the Year, and Youth Citizen of the Year.
The ticket price of $25 covers a steak dinner and entertainment provided by Chilton County High School’s “Blast from the Past.”
Broussard said the event usually sells out quickly, so those who plan to attend should call and make a reservation.
“Be sure to reserve your place early,” she said. “You can pay at the door, but we still need your reservation.”
She anticipates the most popular characters will be Gilligan and Mary Ann.
For reservations or information, please contact the Chamber office at 755-2400.
