The Christmas holiday will affect the operating hours of city, county and state offices next week. The following is a list of these changes:

City of Clanton

Clanton City Hall will close for Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, Dec. 24, 25 and 26.

The city will pick up garbage Monday and Tuesday, Dec. 22 and 23, only. Everyone is asked to have their cart out by the roadside by 6 a.m. Monday and leave it there until garbage is picked up.

City of Jemison

Jemison City Hall also will close for Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, Dec. 24, 25 and 26.

The city garbage schedule is as follows:

Garbage for Wednesday, Dec. 24 will be picked up Monday, Dec. 22.

Garbage for Thursday, Dec. 25 will be picked up Tuesday, Dec. 23.

Garbage for Friday, Dec. 26 will be picked up Monday, Dec. 29.

Town of Thorsby

Thorsby Town Hall will also close on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and the day after Christmas.

Garbage for residents will follow its regular schedule. Garbage pickup for businesses in the town will be changed, however. Businesses that normally have their garbage picked up on Wednesdays should have theirs ready by Tuesday morning. Garbage normally picked up Friday will be picked up the following Monday.

The Chilton County Transfer Station will open as usual on Dec. 24. It will close on Christmas Day and Dec. 26, and resume regular operating hours Saturday, Dec. 27 from 8 a.m. until noon.

Town of Maplesville

Maplesville Town Hall will remain open until noon Dec. 24 but will close Dec. 25 and 26.

Garbage will run as usual for Maplesville residents.

County, state offices

County offices at the Chilton County Courthouse will close Dec. 24, 25 and 26. State offices will close for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day but will reopen Dec. 26.

Banks

Peoples Southern Bank and all branches will remain open until noon Dec. 24. They will be closed on Christmas but will resume normal operating hours Dec. 26 from 8:30 a.m. until 5 p.m.

Peachtree Bank and its branches will follow the same schedule as Peoples except their normal operating hours for Friday are 9-5.
