Jemison celebrates Christmas

Jemison held its annual Christmas Parade on Saturday afternoon, and as usual crowds lined the streets for one of the county’s largest parades.

The direction of the parade was reversed this year in order to utilize all three lanes of Highway 31 in hope of reducing gridlock. The parade still had to wait on itself heading north on 31, but regardless of that everyone seemed to have a great time.

People, animals and vehicles of all kinds were featured in the parade, including horses, a pig, several dogs and even a Star Wars character or two. All shared in the spirit of Christmas.
