Everyone is helping this holiday

Many local kids are getting out and doing great things. A few students from the county have helped to bring food, supplies and money to people in need through food drives and fundraisers.

With times getting more difficult, it is nice to see our youth have not lost hope in a brighter tomorrow. They are proving that by keeping an open mind and by helping as many people as they can for as long as they can.

When students step up and work to make the world a better place, you can start to see a difference in the way people look at things. Of course, mothers and fathers see everything their children do as spectacular, but when the community starts to see things they do, that child is making a difference.

There have been many children, young adults and adults who have helped charitable organizations this year through events, such as food drives and fundraisers.

Thanks to many community members, there will be foster children who receive their Christmas wishes and underprivileged families who can get help buying their child Christmas presents.

There may be many reasons for giving, including the time of the year. Through giving donations, people have found that they get to help people have a better life. As the deadlines for Christmas fundraisers draw near, it is time to take a look at what you have in your life and how much you can do for someone else.

A few organizations that are still in need of financial help are Operation: Santa Claus, Toys for Kids, Christmas Wishes and Toys for Tots. By giving even a small amount, you are helping to give a child a special Christmas.
