Halloween is coming a day early at the Chilton County YMCA tomorrow night.
The annual Halloween at the Y will take place from 5-7:30 p.m. at the facility located on Ollie Avenue.
“It was really fun last year. The kids enjoyed it,” Chilton County YMCA Director Rachel McKinnon said.
This year, the staff is even getting involved by holding a costume contest of their own. Of course, there will be one for the kids, too.
“We’re going to let the kids judge us,” McKinnon said.
Also, everyone will have the opportunity to participate in a drawing for one of 25 T-shirts or a “punch-out” game in which paper-covered compartments will reveal mystery prizes.
All this in addition to booths, prizes and candy will make for a fun family outing at the YMCA.
Doors will open promptly at 5 p.m., McKinnon said.
“We still need some volunteers,” she said, adding that anyone who helps out is encouraged but not required to wear a costume.
