Fresh off their championship run through the JHS Panther Classic over the weekend, the Jemison High School softball team picked up a couple of convincing wins, 16-0 and 16-1, over area foe Central Tuscaloosa on Tuesday.

In the first game, pitcher Hannah Rose Corbin dominated in the circle and at the plate.

The sophomore right-hander struck out seven batters and surrendered just one hit.

She helped her own cause with a three-run inside-the-park home run to lead the Panthers to a 16-0 victory.

Destiny Bailey added a home run of her own by blasting a line drive over the left-center field fence while going 2-for-3 at the plate.

Jessica Paschal had a triple, Madison Moore added a double and Emma Allred rounded out the hitting with a single for Jemison.

In Game 2, Paschal took the circle and tossed a one-hitter of her own, striking out six in the process.

Dara Harris went 2-for-2 with a single and a triple, while Erica Street contributed a three-run triple to aid the Panthers’ offensive onsluaght.

The two wins improved the Panthers’ record to 13-10 with another important area contest on Thursday, as Jemison hosts Calera at 4:30 p.m.
