It did not take long for the Jemison varsity boys’ basketball team to re-establish its groove with a 57-30 victory on the road against Isabella on Tuesday.

The win came one day after the Panthers suffered a heart-breaking 58-57 home loss to Thorsby.

Tremon Bryant fueled the offensive attack and demonstrated pinpoint accuracy from beyond the arc, as the Panthers led 39-16 at the halftime break.

Bryant connected on six-of-eight attempts from three-point range and led the team with 19 points on the night.

Ty Leachman and Kris Harris were a dynamic duo on the boards and helped eliminate second-chance opportunities for Isabella. Both players finished with a team-high six rebounds.

The energy that Mason Jones provided was once again contagious to the rest of the team. As a result of his hustle, he filled the stat sheet with five steals and five assists.

As a team, Jemison forced Isabella into 28 turnovers.

The Mustangs continue to search for that elusive first victory as the season approaches its end.
