Editor’s note: Below is a compilation of the statistics and achievements for graduates of Chilton County area schools who now compete at the college level.

Football

Keandre Binion (Chilton County 2015) rushed for eight yards on one attempt in his first appearance of the season as a running back for Culver-Stockton College (0-4) in a 52-20 loss at home to Evangel University (2-2) on Sept. 19 in Canton, Mo.

Delondre DeJarnett (Chilton County 2014) is a 6-foot-2, 290-pound defensive lineman for the University of West Alabama.

Anthony Johnson (Maplesville 2013) contributed 16 yards from two receptions as a wide receiver for Jacksonville State University (2-1) in a 48-13 victory at home against Tennessee State University (2-1) on Sept. 19 in Jacksonville.

For the season, the junior’s totaled three appearances.

Damian Mitchell (Maplesville 2014) is a 185-pound wide receiver for Birmingham-Southern College.

For the season, the sophomore’s compiled 19 yards from two receptions.

David Neece (Chilton County 2013) is a 6-foot-3, 300-pound offensive lineman for Jacksonville State University.

Mitchell Parker (Chilton County 2014) entered his redshirt freshman season as a wide receiver for Miles College, which fell 0-2 after sustaining a 33-7 loss to the University of West Georgia (2-0) on Sept. 12 in Carrollton, Ga.

Randy Satterfield (Jemison 2014) collected his third start of the season as a wide receiver for the University of West Alabama against Miles College.

The game marked the first of the season for the sophomore to not nab a reception.

For the year, he’s tallied 151 yards and four TDs from nine receptions.

Jaytarius Steele (Billingsley 2015) continues to make an immediate impact in his first season of college football.

In the season opener, the freshman hauled in a 35-yard touchdown reception from Luke Bailey for Huntingdon College (1-1) in a 56-35 triumph at home against Louisiana College (0-2) on Sept. 5 in Montgomery.

In his most recent competition, the 6-foot-2, 198-pound wide receiver collected game highs in yards (84) and catches (five) in a 35-34 loss at Birmingham-Southern College (2-0) on Sept. 12 in Birmingham.

For the season, he’s compiled 210 yards and one TD from 12 receptions.

Javae Swindle (Jemison 2012) contributed 20 yards from eight rushing attempts in his first appearance of the season as a running back for the University of West Alabama (3-0) in a 13-10 victory at Miles College (0-3) on Sept. 19 in Fairfield.

For his career, the 5-foot-4, 162-pounder has compiled 1,837 rushing yards complemented with 14 touchdowns.

As a sophomore in 2013, he was selected to the NCAA Division II All-American second team by Beyond Sports Network after compiling 1,296 yards and 12 TDs from 145 carries.

As a junior, he followed by providing 521 yards and two TDs from 78 rushing attempts.

Riley Tindol (Billingsley 2014) is a 6-foot-5, 262-pound defensive end for Vanderbilt University, which improved to 1-2 after capturing a 47-7 triumph at Austin Peay State University (0-3) on Sept. 19 in Nashville, Tenn.

Spencer Watley (Chilton County 2013) collected an appearance as a 5-foot-10, 260-pound offensive lineman for Jacksonville State University against Tennessee State University.

Kortlin Zeigler (Jemison 2014) has appeared in two games as a tight end for the University of West Alabama.

Men’s golf

Forrest Knight (Chilton County 2013) captured the No. 1 performance for the University of North Alabama men’s golf program in his first competition since competing at the 2015 NCAA Division II National Championship meet.

From Sept. 21-22, the junior led the Lions by placing 15th at the Cougar Invitational with a two-round score of 143 (69-74) in Columbus, Ga.

Among the field of 16 teams, UNA placed sixth.

Ivan Truss (Chilton County 2013) will resume competition at the Western Kentucky University Invitational from Oct. 12-13 in Bowling Green, Ky.

In his most recent competition, the junior captured the No. 5 performance for Samford University at the Joe Feaganes Marshall Invitational by tying for 90th with a three-round score of 229 (81-77-71) on Sept. 15 in Huntington, West Virginia.

Among the field of 16 teams, the Bulldogs ended 15th.

Volleyball

Alandra Griffith (Isabella 2015) contributed three blocks, two kills and one dig as an outside hitter for Wallace Community College – Selma (0-8) in a 3-0 loss at home to Faulkner State Community College (11-4) on Sept. 16 in Selma.

On Sept. 21, the freshman followed by delivering a season-high five kills, three blocks and one assist in a 3-0 loss at home to Lawson State Community College (6-7).

For the season, she’s compiled a team-high 15 blocks, 36 kills, four assists, two aces and one dig.

Among the Patriots, she is No. 1 in blocks and No. 2 in kills.

Women’s cross country

Sarah Graham (Isabella 2015) captured the No. 8 performance for the University of West Alabama at the Mountain Dew Invitational, hosted by the University of Florida on Sept. 19 in Gainesville, Fla.

In the competition, the freshman completed the 5,000-meter course with a time of 20 minutes, 40.16 seconds to place 60th overall and lead the Tigers to clinch fourth among 21 teams.
