Editor’s note: Below is a compilation of the statistics and achievements for graduates of Chilton County area schools who now compete at the college level.

Baseball

Cameron Cummings (Chilton County 2013) scored one run as an outfielder for the University of South Alabama (22-12) in a 13-10 victory at Arkansas State University (13-17) on April 3 in Jonesboro, Ark.

For the season, the sophomore’s compiled 11 runs scored, three RBI, two stolen bases, one double and a .276 batting average.

Chance Calloway (Chilton County 2012) has totaled two appearances as a relief pitcher for the University of West Florida, which fell to 22-14 overall after sustaining 6-5 loss at the University of North Georgia (23-11) on April 8 in Dahlonega, Ga.

For the season, the junior’s tallied three innings, two strikeouts and a 12 ERA.

Craig Headley (Chilton County 2013) collected a walk as a catcher for Jefferson Davis Community College (17-19) in a 6-0 loss at home against Chattahoochee Valley Community College (31-9) on April 2 in Phenix City.

For the season, the sophomore’s compiled 18 runs scored, 12 RBI, eight doubles, five stolen bases, one home run and a .250 batting average.

Alex Campbell (Jemison 2013) fired two strikeouts and allowed three earned runs in a 3.2-inning effort as a relief pitcher for Wallace Community College – Selma (16-18) in a 10-2 loss at Bishop State Community College (10-24) on April 2 in Mobile.

For the season, the sophomore’s totaled a 3-3 record, one complete game, 35.2 innings, 30 strikeouts and a 6.06 ERA through 10 appearances and eight starts.

Blake Teel (Chilton County 2014) hurled one strikeout and allowed one earned run in a five-inning effort as the starting pitcher for Marion Military Institute (20-13) in a 5-3 loss at home to Lawson State Community College (16-21) on April 4 in Marion.

For the season, the freshman’s tallied a 4-1 record, one complete game, 39 innings, 11 strikeouts and a 2.31 ERA.
 From the plate, he’s added five RBI, two runs scored, one double and a .292 batting average.

James Ratliff (Chilton County 2014) is a relief pitcher for Marion Military Institute, which fell to 20-13 overall after sustaining a 5-3 loss at home to Lawson State Community College (16-21) on April 4 in Birmingham.

For the season, the freshman’s compiled six innings, four strikeouts and a 10.5 ERA through five appearances.

Men’s golf

Forest Knight (Chilton County 2013) has collected medalist honors twice this season for the University of North Alabama, which will resume competition at the Gulf South Conference Tournament from April 21-22 in Tunica, Miss.

From March 9-10, the Roaring Lions clinched 10th among the field of 18 teams with the sophomore leading the way with a first-place finish achieved with a three-round score of 208 (72-67-69).

In his most recent appearance, he led UNA to victory among the field of 16 teams after securing a first-place finish with a two-round score of 140 (68-72) from March 30-31 in West Breeze, Florida.

Ivan Truss (Chilton County 2013) is a member of Samford University, which placed 17th among the field of 18 teams at the Furman Intercollegiate Invitational from March 27-29 in Greenville, S.C.

In his most recent appearance, he collected the No. 4 performance for SU at the Bobby Nichols Intercollegiate Invitational by tying for 68th with a three-round score of 229 (78-73-78) from March 16-17 in Sevierville, Tenn.

Among the field of 15 teams, the Bulldogs clinched 12th.

Softball

Brianna Cleckler (Chilton County 2013) captured her 20th win of the season after hurling two strikeouts and allowing one earned run in a complete-game effort as the pitcher for the Southern Union State Community College (37-11) in an 11-3 victory in game one of a doubleheader at Marion Military Institute (15-27) on April 4 in Marion.

In game two of the series, the sophomore followed by clinching another win after firing three strikeouts and allowing one earned run in a 2.2-inning performance as a relief pitcher in a 12-9 triumph.

In her most recent appearance, she collected her third-consecutive win after hurling two strikeouts and allowing two earned runs in a complete-game performance as the pitcher for SUCC in a 7-3 victory at home against Central Alabama Community College (35-12) on April 7 in Roanoke.

For the season, she’s compiled a 22-5 record, 23 complete games, 168 innings, 81 strikeouts and a 2.42 ERA through 28 appearances and 26 starts.

Shelby Lopez (Jemison 2012) collected a walk as a catcher for the University of Montevallo (20-28) in a 6-1 loss at home to the Univeristy of North Georgia (30-5) on April 4 in Montevallo.
For the season, the junior’s compiled 16 runs scored, eight RBI, eight stolen bases, three doubles, one triple and a .259 batting average.

Holly Watts (Chilton County 2014) finished 1-for-1 from the plate and added one RBI as an infielder for Southern Union State Community College (37-11) in a 12-9 victory at Marian Military Institute (15-27) on April 4 in Marion.

On April 7, the freshman followed by blasting a solo home run in her only plate appearance for SUSCC in a 4-3 triumph at Central Alabama Community College (35-12) in Roanoke.

For the season, she’s totaled nine RBI, six runs scored, four doubles, three home runs and a .345 batting average.

Women’s outdoor track and field

Lori Davis (Billingsley 2012) clinched third in the javelin at the Tiger Track Classic with a launch of 136 feet, 7 inches for Alabama State University on April 4 in Auburn.
The meet was not scored.
