Chilton Christian Academy earned its first win of the 2013 season on Friday in impressive fashion.

The Patriots topped Brooklane Baptist, 45-13.

CCA held a 32-0 edge at halftime, holding the visitors scoreless until the game was in hand.

“It’s a confidence thing,” coach Michael Pittman said about how the result would benefit the Patriots the rest of the season. “We were still sloppy, but they’re seeing what they can do.”

Quarterback Zack Pittman completed 10-of-19 passes for 227 yards and touchdowns to Landon Hall and Jewel Mitchell.

Hall caught five passes for 115 yards and scored CCA’s first touchdown on an interception return.

Mitchell rushed for two touchdowns. Trent Ray returned a kickoff for a touchdown and also caught three passes for 80 yards.

Evan Baird paced the defense with 13 tackles.
