Rocky Mount United Methodist Church

Mother’s Day was delightful at Rocky Mount. Bro. Guin’s message from Acts 16:16-34 pointed out that what we see is not necessarily what God intends. When Paul cast out the demons from the woman, he and Silas were punished for this good deed by the secular forces surrounding them. This punishment opened the door for the two men to present the message of the gospel to a household of non-believers, making converts of the entire group. We should see the events in our lives through the eyes of faith and praise God anyway whether we understand His intent or not. If we have Jesus, what else do we need?

Join Rocky Mount for worship on Sundays and Wednesdays. You can hear Sunday’s message on Thursday at 7:30 a.m. on the radio.  Visit our website: www.rockymountumcjemison.com.

Bethsalem Baptist Church

Bro. Cleve opened our day by welcoming everyone, giving ministry opportunities and recognizing our mothers.

Our young musicians sang “Majestic;” our Music Makers sang “He’s Got the Whole World in his Hands” and “Peter, James and John in a Sailboat;” soloist Zoey Edwards sang “God is So Good” and the Celebration Choir sang He’s Been Faithful.”
