Chilton placed under tornado watch

Chilton County has been placed under a tornado watch effective until 7 p.m., according to the National Weather Service.

Other counties included in the watch include Bibb, Blount, Dallas, Fayette, Greene, Hale, Jefferson, Lamar, Marengo, Marion, Perry, Pickens, Shelby, Sumter, Tuscaloosa, Walker and Winston.

The storms of concern have reportedly produced tornadoes in Mississippi as they continue to move eastward.
