James Preston Thrash

James Preston Thrash, 92, of Jemison died Sunday, Nov. 18, 2012, at 356 County Road 157 in Jemison.

He was born on Friday, Sept. 3, 1920, in Chilton County, son of the late Eugene Thrash and the late Alice Thrash.

He was a carpenter.

Surviving are his two sons, Larry Michael (Kathy) Thrash of Woodland, Charles Eugene (Donna) Thrash of Jemison; brother, Hoyt Thrash of Jemison; sister, Thelma Shelton of Clanton; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Wilam Grace Thrash.

Friends will be received from 5–7 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 20, at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.

Services will be held Wednesday, Nov. 21, at 10 a.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Willard Fredrick officiating.

Interment will follow in Oak Grove Baptist Cemetery in Jemison.
