Bethsalem Baptist Church

Bro. Cleve Mallory opened our day of worship with ministry opportunities and welcoming everyone.

Roger Yeargan shared our appreciation of our ministry with Bro. Cleve Mallory, thanking him for the great job he has done for our church ministry. Bro. Phill Winningham will be our interim pastor starting Nov. 11.

Baby dedication: Chris and Amanda Arnold with baby Harmony, Scott and Allison Willis with baby Connor, Shane and Rebecca Lovett with baby Abigail. Christy Harmon and Bro. Cleve Mallory presided over the dedication.

Special music by the Celebration Choir: “One Cross, Three Nails.”

Message by Bro. Mel Johnson, taken from Romans 12:1-2, “There is a Call for Believers, a Command for Believers and a Challenge for Believers.”

The evening message, from Galatians 1-2, was titled “Knowing It and Living It Are Two Different Things.”

Wednesday Night: Trunk-or-Treat from 5:30 – 7 p.m.

Mountain Springs News

Services started on Sunday with Bro. Kenneth Moates leading the church in the following hymns: “Come Unto Me,” “Lift Me Up Above the Shadows,” “Heaven’s Jubilee,” “Just A Little While” and “Wonderful Peace.”

Bro. Roger Cleckler gave a devotion from 1 Timothy 6:7-11. One of these days God will reward us for the things we’re doing on Earth.

After Sunday School, Bro. Kenneth led the church in the hymn “Victory in Jesus” and Roger Cleckler sang “It’s a Far Better Place.”

Bro. Tim Henry and his family were with us this Sunday. Bro. Tim preached from Matthew 15:1-9. Tradition comes and goes, but the Word of God will stay forever.

Sunday night’s service began with Bro. Kenneth leading the church in the hymns “I Love My Savior, Too,” “When the Saints Go Marching In,” “Anywhere is Home” and “Redeemed.”

Bro. Kenneth Moates gave a devotion from 2 Timothy 3:17. God gives us the right tools to carry out his word; he has thoroughly furnished us with everything we need to make it as a Christian.

Debbie Barnett and Sam Ross sang “If You Knew Him,” and the youth sang one of the songs they will be performing for the Christmas play this year.

Bro. Tim Henry preached from Isaiah 40:12. Numbers are important to God; if you study the numbers in the Bible, you will find each has a significant meaning.

Don’t forget our services are Sundays at 9:45 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Wednesday service starts at 7 p.m. Hope to see you there!
