Etheredge joins Advertiser’s news staff

Published 8:52pm Wednesday, October 3, 2012

Emily Etheredge has joined The Clanton Advertiser as a staff writer.

Etheredge, a native of Birmingham and UAB graduate, brings unique experience to Chilton County: she worked the past year at The Ranger Newspaper in Riverton, Wyo.

“Although I enjoyed Wyoming, I decided to return to the South to be closer to my family and near a warmer climate with little snow and ice,” Etheredge said. “I am now looking forward to exploring Chilton County and meeting new friends in the community.”

“We’re excited about having Emily here at the Advertiser,” Managing Editor Stephen Dawkins said. “She will be an important asset as we continue to tell the stories that matter to the people of Chilton County.”
