Chris M. Christmas, 78, of Deatsville died Saturday, Sept. 15, 2012.

He was born on Wednesday, April 11, 1934, in Georgia, son of the late James Benjamin Christmas and Nettie Amelia Spradley Christmas.

He was a paramedic/firefighter.

Surviving are his wife, Mary H. Christmas of Deatsville; three sons, Ronald Christmas, Richard Christmas and Christopher Christmas; two daughters, Robin White and Rhonda Donovan; stepdaughter, Juli Howard; stepson, Master Chief Paul R. Howard; 20 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; three sisters, Pauline Cross, Jean Hough and Merry Christmas.

He was preceded in death by his stepdaughter, Virginia Simmers; great-grandson, Joshua Murray; and brother, J.B. Christmas.

Friends will be received from 5-8 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 19 at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.

Services will be held Thursday, Sept. 20 at 11 a.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Donnie Messer, the Rev. Danny Street and the Rev. Dale Barnes officiating.

Interment will follow in Midway Memorial Gardens in Jemison.
