Two arrested for drugs

Several bags of marijuana and a handgun were recovered from the residence at Rolling Oaks Apartments.

Complaints led to two drug arrests Tuesday.

Lakisha Baker, 36, and Brandon Baker, 18, were arrested at Rolling Oaks apartments, and both were charged with unlawful possession of marijuana first degree, according to a Clanton Police Department news release.

Several bags of marijuana and a handgun were recovered at the residence.

The subjects were taken to Chilton County Jail and were given a bond of $5,000.

“We have received multiple complaints about drugs being sold from the residence and acted on this information,” Capt. David Clackley said in the release. “Anyone with information about drug activity can report it to our detectives by emailing us at CPDNarcotics@clantonpd.org, calling the tip line at 755-1416 or by messaging us on Facebook.

“All complaints are investigated, and we appreciate the help we have received from the community.”
