Poseys celebrated 50th anniversary

Jimmy Don and Betty Joyce (Champion) Posey celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Saturday, March 17 enjoying a special dinner with family. In 1962, they were married in Jemison, the place where both grew up, attended Jemison High School, and continue to live during retirement.

They have two daughters Mikki Vineyard and Malorie Allen, son-in-law William Allen, and granddaughters Abby and Ella Vineyard who all live in the Birmingham area.

Jimmy is retired from Elections Systems and Software after working 40 years in the printing industry. Joyce worked in the school system for 10 years then retired from Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama with 21 years of service.

The week following their anniversary was spent vacationing in San Diego, Calif.
