Chilton Urgent Care offers weight loss clinic

Losing weight is one of the most popular New Year’s resolutions for people.

However, it can be a very difficult and demanding resolution to keep.

Chilton Urgent Care is doing its part in helping residents of Chilton County stand strong and accomplish this resolution by holding a weight loss clinic.

Ginny Hughes is the office manager at Chilton Urgent Care and is helping oversee the weight loss clinic under the umbrella of Ivy Creek Healthcare.

The clinic began with about two weeks left in 2017, but the number of people taking advantage of it is expected to increase with the arrival of 2018.

“I anticipate an influx after the first of the year,” Hughes said. “It’s a great service.”

According to Hughes, the program’s recipe for success includes a combination of B12 vitamins, weight measurements and education.

Residents of any age can take part in the weight loss clinic with no start-up fees or appointments required.

Shots of Lipotonix Plus will be administered to the participants.

According to a flyer for the clinic, Lipotonix Plus is known to boost energy levels, metabolism of fats and carbohydrates, reduce stress and depression, as well as help with diabetes, cholesterol, high blood pressure and muscle and joint discomfort.

The clinic will be open to the public weekdays 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and weekends 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. For more information about the clinic, call (205) 280-0620.
