The seventh annual Sportsmen’s Spectacular wild game supper and celebration will be held on March 9 at Liberty Hill Baptist Church.

The Sportsmen’s Spectacular will be hosted by the church and will feature a wild game supper, shooting competitions and door prizes.

Kid’s Zone activities and registration for door prizes will begin at 3 p.m. with supper starting at 5 p.m.

Adult competitions include skeet shooting, archery and a turkey shoot. Children can take part in their own events including casting, BB guns and archery. First and second place trophies will be given for three age groups.

The wild game supper will feature various game that was captured and cooked by Chilton County locals including alligator, deer burgers, camp stew, elk and frog legs.

The dining area will be decorated with mounted game hunted by members of the community. Deer, antelope, bobcats, snakes and a few exotic trophies will cover the walls.

Door prizes will be awarded throughout the night. Prizes range from caps to casserole dishes, hunting gear and gift certificates. Most of the prizes are donated from Liberty Hill Baptist Church and local businesses. If a business would like to donate a door prize contact Liberty Hill.

The guest speaker will be Tim Smith from On Target Outdoor Ministries. Smith and his wife are both Air Force retirees who now spend their time hunting, fishing, cooking and raising their son Zach.

The Sportsmen’s Spectacular is a free event. For more information or to RSVP, or if a business would like to donate a door prize, contact Liberty Hill at (205) 755-1694 or tina@libertyhillonlone.org.
