Valentine fundraiser to benefit Relay for Life

Raising money for a cause, two Chilton Medical Center employees will hold a Valentine’s Day sale fundraiser that will benefit Relay For Life at CMC on Wednesday and Thursday, Feb. 9-10.

Keri Stritikus, lead sonographer; and Hayley Harris, sonographer, who are also business partners at Plum Fancy, have partnered with Relay For Life to help raise money for cancer.

Last minute Valentine’s Day gifts can be purchased at the sale—including jewelry, purses, watches, bracelets, children’s items, badge holders and more.

“We’re a new business so it’s a good way to get our products out there, as well as raise money for Relay For Life and get people here at the medical center involved and outside people as well,” said Stritikus.

Both Stritikus and Harris are on the Relay For Life fundraiser committee and will participate in the walk on April 29.

“We’re hoping it is going to be really good,” said Harris.

“We already have people asking and wanting to see the merchandise. They already seem very interested.”

This is the first of numerous Relay For Life fundraisers the two will hold this year.

The sale will take place in the hallway across from the CMC business office from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
