Suspect identified in burglary case

The Chilton County Sheriff’s Office has identified Gary Deon Moncrief as a suspect in the Sunoco Food Mart burglary investigation.

According to a release from the Sheriff’s Office, Moncrief is male, age 27, is about 5-feet-8-inches tall and weighs approximately 180 pounds.

The burglary being investigated was Oct. 1 at the Sunoco Five Star Food Mart at the Verbena exit on I-65. Officers identified Moncrief by the tattoos on both his arms, as seen in the security footage from the store.

According to the release, Moncrief is wanted for third-degree burglary, third-degree theft of property and second-degree criminal mischief.

Moncrief’s last known address was in the 1900 block of Norman Bridge Road in Montgomery. The remaining suspects have not been identified and are still at large, according to authorities.

Photos of the suspects have been posted to the Central Alabama Crimestoppers Facebook page. According to the page, law enforcement agencies in nearby counties are interested in the suspects for similar crimes in the region.
