Chamber to host luncheon for potential ambassadors

The Chilton County Chamber of Commerce will hold a luncheon later this month for people interested in becoming a Chamber Ambassador.

The lunch will be Tuesday, July 26 at 11:30 a.m. The meeting will be the second ambassador luncheon so far this year.

“We’re going to have one every three or four months,” said Mike Robertson, executive director of the Chilton County Chamber of Commerce. “We will discuss a bit of ambassador business and enjoy good food and fellowship.”

Ambassadors serve as official hosts for the Chamber at events like ribbon cuttings, business after hours and Chamber luncheons. They also help with recruiting and retaining Chamber members.

Benefits of being a Chamber ambassador include making business contacts, publicity for you and your business, recognition in Chamber publications and at Chamber events, visibility in the community and an opportunity to serve.

The event will be held at Shoney’s restaurant in Clanton, located at 950 Lake Mitchell Road.

“We will discuss the responsibilities of a Chamber Ambassador and talk about the different events we’ve had,” said Robertson. “I may even award a top ambassador.”

Those interested are encouraged to attend. For more information, contact the Chamber at 755-2400.
