Billingsley cancels game, Isabella finds replacement

The Billingsley Bears football team has cancelled its football game against Isabella on Sept. 25.

Although it is game week, Billingsley informed its fans of the decision with a post on its designated athletics Facebook page on Sept. 21.

The cancellation was COVID-19 related, however, the Bears have not cancelled the remainder of the season.

According to the Facebook post, the school is suspending football activities for a short time and will be looking to reschedule any games missed if common dates can be found with the opponents.

The Bears cancellation also meant that Isabella would be without a contest to play this week.

However, the Mustangs have quickly found a replacement and will now travel to take on Greenville beginning at 7 p.m. on Sept. 25.

The game between Billingsley and Isabella was a non-region game.
