Clanton Best Western receives award for quality

Best Western recognized its Clanton location with the company’s Chairman’s Award, which measures the quality of a hotel.

Although the state of Alabama performs its routine inspections of hotels, Best Western takes part in its own internal inspection as well.

The Clanton Best Western was graded among the top five percent in quality assurance among its fellow Best Western’s.

Various aspects are included in the inspection process, such as food storage and chemicals, which must be compliant with OSHA regulations.

Front desk manager Vaylerie Cervera thanked her staff of employees and labeled the award as a team accomplishment.

“It shows that hard work pays off,” Cervera said.

Guest reviews are something that Cervera credited for the hotel’s high marks and the hotel’s ability to not just read the remarks, but also analyze them.

“If it wasn’t for our guests, we wouldn’t be here,” Cervera said. “We even appreciate the bad reviews, because we’re always trying to get better.”

According to Cervera, despite being in a smaller town, the Clanton location is neck and neck with the bigger cities in the state when it comes to quality ratings.

“Clanton has been good to us,” Cervera said.

The Clanton Best Western has 53 rooms and amenities that are highlighted by a seasonal outdoor pool, a complimentary continental breakfast and a business center. It is located at 801 Bradberry Lane off Exit 205 in Clanton.
