Closings announced for Fourth of July

Independence Day office hours and garbage pickup have been announced for the four Chilton County municipalities.

Clanton City Hall will be closed Monday, July 4, and garbage will be picked up at 6 a.m.

Thorsby City Hall will be closed Monday, July 4, and garbage pickup will be moved back to Tuesday, July 5.

Jemison City Hall will be closed Monday, July 4, and garbage pickup will be scheduled for the normal hours.

Maplesville Town Hall will be closed Monday, July 4, and garbage pick up will be Tuesday, July 5.

Thorsby’s and Jemison’s council meetings were also affected by the Fourth of July.

Thorsby will meet Tuesday, July 5 at 6 p.m. at the Municipal Annex. Jemison cancelled their first Monday meeting and will meet again on the third Monday, July 18, at the Jemison Municipal Complex at 6 p.m.
