Richard Lee Norton Sr., 80, of Clanton died Tuesday, June 8, 2010. He was born on Wednesday, April 9, 1930, in Jefferson County, the son of the late Samuel S. Norton and the late Thelma Thomas Norton.
He was a retired electrical engineer.
Surviving are his wife, Lucy Ann Norton of Clanton; son, Richard Lee Norton Jr. of Birmingham; daughter, Pamela Ann Hathcock of Clanton; son-in-law, Keith Wayne Hathcock of Clanton; grandson, Charles Edward Schwass of Alabaster; granddaughter, Lee Ann Wright of Clanton; grandson-in-law, David Howard Wright of Clanton; and great-granddaughter, Lacey Diane Wright of Clanton.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, June 12, 2010, at 10 a.m. at Friendship Baptist Church with the Rev. Bobby Hopper officiating.
